It’s like a little postcard from reality and I can sense the varying textures that a moment by the washing line takes up: the softness of a child’s hand handing over a peg (or five), the ordinary magic of a mundane task, the chance to witness the weather... My little girl loves to help me too and it’s always such a precious bonding moment because it brings magic and warmth to what could otherwise feel like attention and presence is being detracted from her. Also what is with kids and gravel?!
