Joy: defined as a feeling of great pleasure or happiness.
This month I’m focusing on what brings me joy at home. For this prompt, I couldn’t look past my children, who bring me the most joy.
It has been over a year since my last Romanticising Home Life Post. A creative challenge I began back in 2023 to help me through a hard time.
The short reason I ended the series being - we haven’t had a home!
We have been living between our parents places whilst we search the country for a somewhere to lay roots. As much it would have been wonderful to continue the series and document this time, unfortunately that wasn’t realistic. Neither of our parents homes really have room for a family of four, let along places to set up and take photos. So I put my little creative project to the side.
Life is changing now though, and I really miss capturing these special memories and playing with my camera around the house - So I’m bringing it back.
What’s even better about it now, is that you can join me too!
Every month I’ll be sharing a prompt in the chat to encourage and support you to Romanticise Your Home Life, and capture beautiful mundane memories that your future self will thank you for. March is already up, you can join in here:
I couldn’t pick just one photo. I honestly find culling photos so difficult, but it is something I’m working on. So here is a gallery of four photos.
Joy
If you’d like to join in, this month or next, I’d love to see you Romanticise Your home Life, too.
