At the beginning of Autumn I took a quick trip over to one of my favourite places here in the South-West, with my dear friend
, to capture the essence of Summer in the country before the mesmerising spell of Autumn takes hold of the trees.I can assure you when it does take hold, I’ll be straight back out there to frolic under the falling red and orange leaves.
It was a real experiment and learning experience with the camera, shooting in harsh and changing light in the middle of the day. I realised too late that one of the settings was wrong, and so many of the photos came out grainy. I decided to embrace the grain where I couldn't edit it out and just allow it to add to the overall mood of the gallery.
We’ll call this part one, as I have a collection of coloured and a collection of black and white photos.
Here are some of my (colourful) favourites taken on the day.
